If you take a look outside Thursday, the moon is going to be pretty hard to miss as it will be the November Supermoon, otherwise known as a “Hunter’s Moon.” Krispy Kreme is marking the occasion with a new signature donut called the “Supermoon-Super Doughnut.

Krispy Kreme's Supermoon special doughnuts will be available at participating stores across the U.S. for one day only i.e. Thursday, Oct. 17.

The bakery is known to celebrate outer space. Earlier this year, in April, the company released the Total Solar Eclipse Doughnut. Then, in years prior, first in 2021, Krispy Kreme released the Strawberry Supermoon and Mars doughnuts, and the following year, the Artemis Moon Doughnut.

Krispy Kreme fans can soon sink their teeth into a new doughnut, but it won’t stick around. The Supermoon Super Doughnut debuts Thursday, Oct. 17, at participating Krispy Kreme shops nationwide — just in time for the Hunter’s Supermoon, according to the Charlotte, North Carolina-based company.

Krispy Kreme announced a brand-new promotion to honor the anticipated arrival of its doughnuts at participating Chicago McDonald’s restaurants starting Tuesday, Oct. 15. This, the brand added, is a little tease for its phased rollout to McDonald’s locations across the nation by the end of 2026.

Krispy Kreme doughnuts will be available in 1,000 McDonald’s restaurants by the end of 2024 and 12,000 locations by the end of 2026.
