A Georgia judge has declared that seven new election rules recently passed by the State Election Board are “illegal, unconstitutional and void.” Fulton County Superior Court Judge Thomas Cox issued the order Wednesday after holding a hearing on challenges to the rules.

A judge overturned changes to Georgia election rules made by a Republican-controlled state board in August, in a case brought by a conservative group which argued the changes would disrupt voting rights ahead of the Nov.

The appeal filed on Tuesday disputes a judge’s ruling that six of the charges brought against Donald J. Trump and his allies in Georgia were not specific enough.
