A victim died of an overdose a day after receiving fentanyl that was delivered to a third party with the drone, prosecutors said.

A Southern California man allegedly used a drone to deliver narcotics, including some that resulted in a fatal overdose for one person. The man, a 34-year-old Lancaster resident, was indicted Sept. 17 by a federal grand jury.

The Lancaster man faces a series of federal charges in connection with the alleged airborne drug deliveries and resulting death, officials said.
